CommentsBob, I really enjoyed meeting you Sunday. What are the chances that two 50 something guys on KLRs would happen to be on the same stretch of K-7 at the same time? I love your website. You have a terrific family and I'm sure many stories to tell. I hope to learn more about your travels on the continental divide. I'll send you a map to help you find our cabin at Sugar Valley Lake. We are here most Tuesday evenings and then from Friday evening through Monday mornings. The phone number here is 913-795-9900. Take K-7 1.5 miles south of Mound City. At the crest of the hill, look for the entrance to the lake on your left. Take the first dirt road right and go about 1/3 mile taking the second dirt road left. Follow it to your right until you come to the lakefront road. You'll see the boat ramp straight ahead. Turn right and follow it around the lake about 1/3 mile. Look for a brown log cabin with a green roof. 15 W Sugar Lake Dr. NW. My wife Vicki and I would love to give you a tour around our little lake. Bring your wife on the bike or by car. We'd love to have you. I'll send you a map by mail. There are many interesting dirt roads perfect for a KLR with a 15 mile radius of Sugar Valley Lake. We definitely should hook up this summer to ride. Take care and I'll be in touch. If you get a chance check out my company's website at www.dimin.com. Regards, Jim Baker |
